Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Data Analyst / SQL Developer to support database development, data analysis, and production support activities. The ideal candidate will possess advanced T-SQL skills, strong experience with SQL Server tools, and a solid understanding of relational data modeling and performance optimization.

Core Responsibilities

Modify and maintain:
- T-SQL stored procedures
- Views
- User-defined functions
- SSIS packages

Provide production support:
- Triage and resolve data-related tickets
- Investigate and resolve data integrity issues
- Apply SQL-based fixes safely and efficiently
- Track fixes for audit and compliance purposes

Optimize performance for high-traffic queries

Debug and enhance existing SSIS workflows

Ensure data structure integrity through relational modeling and normalization

Required Skills & Experience

Advanced T-SQL expertise including:
- Common Table Expressions (CTEs)
- Window functions
- Joins
- Dynamic SQL
- Error handling

Strong experience with:
- Stored procedures
- Scalar and table-valued functions
- Views

Proficiency in SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS)

5+ years of experience in:
- Software development
- Database development
- Development tools (e.g., Visual Studio, SSRS)

Experience with:
- Team Foundation Server (TFS) for source control
- Agile Scrum methodology

Education

Bachelor's Degree in:
- Computer Science
- Information Systems
- Related field

Preferred Skills

Ability to create moderate to advanced:
- T-SQL stored procedures
- Triggers

Experience in:
- Testing and troubleshooting database procedures and ETL packages

Experience with:
- C#, .NET, HTML, or other front-end technologies
- Documenting code
- Eliciting data requirements through interviews, workshops, and analysis

Familiarity with SQL Server versions 2012 and later

Programming business requirements using database languages

Development of new SSIS and SSRS packages

Hands-on experience with all phases of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

Knowledge of Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS)

Industry experience in:
- State Government (Medicaid, CHIP, DHR)
- Healthcare

Certifications:

SQL Certification (preferred)
