Immediate W2 contract position available in Birmingham, AL. NO C2C

Estimated Duration: 3 years

Job Description / Desired Qualifications:

· Job will be on site - at least 4 days in office with option to work one day remotely, if desired.

Responsibilities:

· Develop and maintain web application software with a focus on performance and user experience

· Collaborate well internally and effectively communicate with and learn from SME/field users

· Conduct thorough testing, debugging, and quality assurance to ensure application quality and reliability

· Interact with, modify, and create data sources

· Assist in the deployment and monitoring of web applications in production environments

· Implement and adhere to security best practices throughout the development lifecycle Background and Experience

· BS in software engineering, computer science, or related fields

· 2-5 years of experience preferred, at least a year of experience with relevant work required (Can include co-op or intern experience if it is relevant). A plus if candidates can include a portfolio with relevant work

Critical Skills:

· React

· Git/Github

· Typescript

· Javascript

· CSS (Tailwind)

· Object-oriented programming

Other Skills:

· Next.js

· Node.js

· Docker

· CI/CD pipelines

· SQL

· Basic understanding of UI/UX principles and best practices

· NPM

· Cloud data platform (ex. Databricks)

· RESTful API

· Kubernetes

· shadcn

· HTML

· Python

· Familiarity with web mapping libraries (e.g. Leaflet, Mapbox)

· Familiarly with OutSystems
