Key Responsibilities:

1. Maintain and manage the facility’s inventory of medical and non-medical supplies
2. Order, receive, and stock supplies to ensure continuous availability
3. Track supply usage, monitor expiration dates, and rotate stock as needed
4. Distribute supplies efficiently to nursing and other facility departments
5. Collaborate with vendors to ensure cost-effective purchasing and timely delivery
6. Ensure compliance with facility policies and healthcare regulations related to supply management
7. Maintain accurate records and assist with budget planning for supply needs
8. Provide transportation for residents to and from medical appointments, social activities, and other approved destinations
9. Ensure trips are completed in a timely and efficient manner
10. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations to ensure the safety of residents
11. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle
12. Report any maintenance issues or incidents to the supervisor
13. Assist residents with boarding and alighting, ensuring safety and comfort
14. Secure wheelchairs, walkers, and other mobility aids
15. Maintain accurate records of trips, including times, destinations, and any incidents

Qualifications:

1. Experience in central supply, inventory management, or a related field preferred
2. Familiarity with medical supplies and equipment in a healthcare setting is a plus
3. Strong organizational and multitasking skills
4. Ability to lift and transport supply boxes as needed
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and inventory management systems
6. Strong attention to detail and accuracy
7. Valid chauffeur driver’s license in State of Alabama with a clean driving record
8. Previous driving experience, preferably in a healthcare setting
9. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
10. Compassionate, patient, and able to work well under pressure
