Central Supply Clerk and Transportation Driver

Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and manage the facility’s inventory of medical and non-medical supplies
- Order, receive, and stock supplies to ensure continuous availability
- Track supply usage, monitor expiration dates, and rotate stock as needed
- Distribute supplies efficiently to nursing and other facility departments
- Collaborate with vendors to ensure cost-effective purchasing and timely delivery
- Ensure compliance with facility policies and healthcare regulations related to supply management
- Maintain accurate records and assist with budget planning for supply needs
- Provide transportation for residents to and from medical appointments, social activities, and other approved destinations
- Ensure trips are completed in a timely and efficient manner
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations to ensure the safety of residents
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle
- Report any maintenance issues or incidents to the supervisor
- Assist residents with boarding and alighting, ensuring safety and comfort
- Secure wheelchairs, walkers, and other mobility aids
- Maintain accurate records of trips, including times, destinations, and any incidents
Qualifications:
- Experience in central supply, inventory management, or a related field preferred
- Familiarity with medical supplies and equipment in a healthcare setting is a plus
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Ability to lift and transport supply boxes as needed
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and inventory management systems
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Valid chauffeur driver’s license in State of Alabama with a clean driving record
- Previous driving experience, preferably in a healthcare setting
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate, patient, and able to work well under pressure
