Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A K-12 school in Vance, AL is seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support students across all grade levels. This contract position offers the opportunity to provide vital services that enhance student communication skills and contribute to their academic success in a dynamic educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language evaluations for students from kindergarten through 12th grade
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other education professionals to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation of services and student progress in compliance with district and legal requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal setting and progress monitoring
- Utilize evidence-based therapy techniques to address speech, language, and communication disorders
Qualifications:
- Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Experience working with K-12 students in a school setting preferred
- Knowledge of federal and state special education regulations and IEP processes
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, families, and staff
- Ability to manage caseload efficiently and maintain detailed records
