Per Diem School-Based Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Prattville, AL
This per diem opportunity is well-suited for Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) eager to support student success within a school setting. The role focuses on delivering individualized academic, behavioral, and social assistance to students, supporting their growth and participation under the guidance of school staff.
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one or small group academic, behavioral, and social support aligned with teacher direction
- Assist students with daily routines, classroom transitions, and engagement activities
- Implement behavior support plans and follow Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Support students with mobility, supervision, and personal care needs as required
- Promote a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment
Qualifications:
- Active Alabama Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
- Minimum age of 18 years
- Compliance with TB testing requirements per district policies
- Physical capability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting as needed
- Current background clearances or willingness to obtain them before starting
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in school, special education, behavioral health, or child care environments
- Familiarity supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
- Certification or prior training in CPI, PMT, or RBT considered an advantage
- Reliable, patient demeanor with a collaborative team mindset
