Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education
- Experience working with students with a range of disabilities, learning styles, and abilities
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with staff, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Commitment to fostering inclusive educational environments
- Ability to adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to meet student needs
Role Responsibilities:
- Design, adjust, and deliver individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Assess students’ strengths and areas for growth, using data to inform instructional approaches
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to deliver effective instruction
- Regularly communicate with families regarding student progress and strategies for school/home support
- Maintain accurate records and comply with federal, state, and school regulations
