The Opportunity Center- Easter Seals is seeking passionate Custodians
to join our growing team at the Anniston Army Depot! This is a great opportunity for those who are new to janitorial work as training is provided.

Team members perform a variety of cleaning tasks with on-site Supervisor support. We are an inclusive and supportive group that takes pride in our work!

Location: Anniston Army Depot, Alabama

Schedule: M-F 6:30am-2:30pm, M-Th 6:30am-3:30pm

Wage:$13.61/hr.

Additional Compensation: Benefits covered 100%

PRIMARY PURPOSE: The position of Custodian is to maintain cleanliness, orderliness, and sanitation in various settings including offices, bathroom, and other commercial facilities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Perform general cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, spot cleaning and vacuuming floors to include office areas, break areas, conference areas, entry/exit ways, hallways, and all restrooms.
• Maintain and stock facilities with necessary supplies.
• Remove trash and recycling from the facility and transport to designated areas for disposal.
• Clean and disinfect.
• Operate cleaning equipment, such as mops/buckets, scrubbers, and vacuum cleaners, in a safe and effective manner.
• Notify team lead/supervisor of any safety hazards or maintenance issues in a timely manner.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

Position requires a moderate level of communication skills related to training line workers, as well as relating positively to workers. A high school diploma (or GED) is preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Work is for the most part performed in an indoor climate of average daily seasonal temperatures. Outside work is subject to varying seasonal temperatures. Employees may be exposed to odors, chemicals, product spills, dust, loosened wax or water.
