SUMMARY

Learn to operate assigned production unit(s) to meet production schedules in a safe and efficient manner.

PRIMARY JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work safely at all times and perform necessary housekeeping. Keep personal safety and that of others always as the top value.

• Under guidance of Trainer/Supervisor, learn to perform duties as required but not limited to: o Becoming proficient in the safe operation of the West Plant
  1. Learning the proper safe method to set up and fill drums
     1. Learning the proper method for loading drums on trucks, loading tank trucks & tank cars
        1. Demonstrating proper technique to ensure a safe start-up and shut-down of the (West Plant) air compressor per requirements
        2. Accurately measuring and recording all data into various checklists, log sheets, log books, and Oracle as per requirements

• Demonstrate proficiency in performing duties to reach the next level on the job ladder

• Make changes in the unit to ensure product specifications and production schedules are met in accordance with MOC procedure

• Communicate changes made to management

• Understand and follow emergency shutdown procedures

• Continuously improve our commitment to excellence in Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security performance
• other duties as assigned by management

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Able to understand the operation of production unit(s)
• Able to work with a team, take direction from supervisors and keep required work schedules

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

This position has no supervisory responsibility

EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

• Able to work an agreed upon standard rotating shift schedule and overtime as required

TRAVEL

• Must have a current, valid driver's license

• Able to be insurable under our company's liability insurance policy

• Able to see clearly, judge distance and spatial relationships to distinguish objects as they are

• Routine physical exertion; standing, walking, climbing for extended periods

• Able to use personal protective equipment (PPE)

• Hazards:
  1. May be in an environment where toxic chemicals are present.
  2. Work in chemical plant may include exposure to materials such as caustic, strong acids and hydrocarbons, potential for H2S exposure and requirements for additional testing (e.g. PPE, drug)
