RxBenefits is seeking a Director of Quality Engineering to lead and scale our Quality Engineering function across the organization. This role will define and implement a comprehensive quality strategy—encompassing automation, performance testing, test architecture, and continuous improvement—to ensure the reliability and scalability of our products and platforms.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned quality leader with strong technical depth, strategic thinking, and a passion for excellence. You will be responsible for shaping the future of quality across Engineering by building robust frameworks, driving quality-focused practices, and enabling cross-functional collaboration throughout the software development lifecycle.
Essential Job Responsibilities Include:
- Drive automation maturity and test strategy across Engineering.
- Increase deployment confidence and reduce time to market.
- Provide leadership and governance around software quality metrics and standards.
- Foster strong collaboration between QA, Engineering, and cross-functional teams to build a culture of quality
- Define and drive the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Quality Engineering across RxBenefits.
- Build, mentor, and lead high-performing global quality engineering teams
- Ensure test coverage across UI, API, data pipelines, and backend systems.
- Lead the development and standardization of test automation frameworks
- Collaborate with Product, Data, and Engineering teams to embed quality throughout CI/CD pipelines.
- Establish and track key quality metrics (e.g., test coverage, defect leakage, release readiness, system uptime).
- Partner with DevOps and SRE to integrate performance testing, monitoring, and observability.
- Promote a quality-first culture through shift-left testing, continuous testing, and technical best practices.
Required Skills / Experience:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in QA or Software Engineering, with at least 5+ years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience driving quality automation and strategy across complex, distributed systems.
- Deep understanding of Agile, DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and modern testing approaches.
- Proficiency in test automation tools such as Cypress (preferred), Playwright, Selenium, or equivalent.
- Familiarity with data validation, performance testing, and backend system testing.
- Experience working in cloud-native environments (AWS preferred).
- Experience leading global QA manual and automation teams.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
