**Job Overview**
We are seeking a highly skilled Director of Global Demand Planning to lead a global team responsible for delivering accurate demand forecasts across multiple factories. This role plays a critical part in the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process by providing detailed forecasts broken down by product and timing (monthly and quarterly). The successful candidate will collaborate closely with finance partners to update financial forecasts regularly, leveraging Salesforce funnel data and historical trends to drive business planning and operational efficiency.
**Responsibilities**
- Lead and manage a global team of 5-7 direct reports focused on generating precise demand forecasts for multiple manufacturing facilities.
- Develop and maintain demand forecasts segmented by product and time (monthly and quarterly) as the foundational input to the global S&OP process.
- Collaborate closely with finance teams to update and align financial forecasts monthly.
- Utilize a combination of Salesforce sales funnel data, historical sales trends, and market insights to create data-driven demand plans.
- Partner with sales, operations, supply chain, and finance stakeholders to ensure alignment and accuracy of forecasts.
- Identify and analyze demand variability and risks, providing recommendations to mitigate supply chain disruptions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance forecasting accuracy, tools, and processes.
- Communicate forecast results and insights clearly to senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Support scenario planning and demand efforts to optimize inventory and production planning.
**Required Skills / Qualifications / Certifications / Tech Stack**
**Essential**
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business, Finance, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role managing global teams.
- Strong expertise in demand forecasting methodologies, S&OP processes, and financial forecasting.
- Experience working with Salesforce data and integrating CRM insights into demand planning.
- Proficiency with forecasting and planning tools (e.g., Excel, SAP APO, Kinaxis, or similar).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across global, cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and continuous process improvement.
The base compensation range for this position is $147,290 to $227,000 per annum. Your actual base salary will be determined based upon numerous factors which may include relevant experience, skills, location (labor market data), credentials (education, certifications), and internal equity.
