OB/GYN - Residency Program Director

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Residency Program Director - Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi and North Central Bronx. Jacobi Medical Center is a 457-bed, Level I Trauma Center and North Central Bronx Hospital (NCB) has 213 licensed beds. Jacobi is a designated Baby-Friendly Hospital and has a 24-hour rooming-in for babies and special visiting hours for siblings. Jacobi performs on average 1,560 live births annually. Their onsite Breast Health Center has received a three-year/full accreditation designation by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC), a program administered by the American College of Surgeons and is dedicated to the prevention, care, and management of breast disease.
The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with Albert Einstein College of Medicine to maintain its high healthcare delivery standards.

Opportunity Details:
- Design, strategize, and launch a new OB/GYN residency program
- Develop an educational curriculum
- Monitor and follow up on residency performance indicators
- Strengthen teaching skills of existing staff and prepare for transition to roles as educators
- Foster the academic and professional development of residents
- Manage clinical scheduling of residents and monitor residents’ duty hours, as required by ACGME regulation
- Maintain current knowledge of and compliance with the ACGME Program Requirements
- Oversee administration and educational activities
- Direct supervision of all program residents and program staff
- Provide direct patient care outside of resident program panels, as required
Qualifications
- Licensed to practice medicine in the state of New York
- Board certified in General Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Proven clinical and administrative leadership experience
Wages and Benefits include:
Annual Base Salary: $320,000*, based on 40-hour work week.
The annual total value of compensation package is estimated at $392,000**, which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contributions and other factors as set forth below:
- Projected bonus of up to $40,000 (based on previous year’s average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets.
401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits):
- Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
Annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) Reimbursement.
Generous Annual Paid Time Off (PTO): Vacation, Sick, Holiday, and CME days.
Medical, Prescription, and Dental Coverage: Top-tier plans with employee contributions significantly below market rates.
Life Insurance and Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) Coverage: Equal to 2x your salary (up to a maximum of $300,000) provided at no cost to you.

Loan Forgiveness: Position may be eligible for loan forgiveness through certain state or federal programs.
Medical Malpractice Coverage (equivalent to occurrence-based): Provided at no cost to the employee.

Pre-tax employee-paid contributions for commuting expenses.
Visa sponsorship will be considered for this position.
