SAW HELPERS NEEDED!
Decatur, AL
12 hour shifts 6-6 (day and night available)
2/2/3 schedule
Job Duties:
- Place aluminum into age racks, following proper nesting specs and verify piece counts.
- Inspect material for cut length and other potential defects when racking.
- Ability to cross train in other positions in the department.
- Keep work-space organized and clean, contributing to continuous improvements.
- Ensure that production requirements and standards are met or exceeded on a daily basis.
- Operate machinery correctly and maintain it with care.
- Report any machinery issues to management.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Manufacturing experience working in industrial production is strongly preferred.
- Capable of reading and understanding production documents and safety manuals.
- Basic math, reading, and writing skills.
- Good communication skills
- Willingness to always comply with all safety guidelines.
- Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
- Attend all safety and production trainings.
Essential Physical Functions:
- Ability to work on the production floor with exposure to dust, fumes, odors, loud noise and varying temperatures.
- Ability to perform physical tasks that are repetitive.
- Ability to do work requiring standing with frequent stooping, bending, reaching overhead and sufficient manual dexterity to perform all aspects of the job.
- Ability to lift, move parts and equipment up to 100 pounds in a team lift.
Able to work 12 hour shifts primarily standing
