Laser Operator

Are you a detail-oriented professional with a knack for precision and a "get-it-done" attitude? We are looking for a Laser Operator to join our team, offering a competitive hourly rate of $18-$24. In this essential, cross-functional role, you will manage the daily startup, setup, and operation of our laser equipment , taking ownership of the process from program selection to the final removal of cut parts. You'll utilize your technical skills to perform minor maintenance , read blueprints , and ensure high-quality results using precision tools like calipers and tape measures. This position is perfect for someone who enjoys a fast-paced manufacturing environment, thrives under pressure, and is eager to grow their technical expertise while contributing to a collaborative team.

salary: $18 - $24 per hour
shift: First
work hours: 7 AM - 3:30 PM
education: High School

Responsibilities

• Perform daily machine startup and shutdown procedures on Laser Equipment
• Change equipment and set-up laser, as necessary
• Use sheet lifter to move/load material
• Select program, load material, cut parts and remove parts once process is completed
• Perform minor maintenance and cleaning of equipment in accordance with company standards
• Run multiple machines simultaneously, if required

The essential functions of this role include:

• working in a smoke free environment
• wearing steel toe shoes
• working in a non-temperature controlled environment
• manual lifting up to 50lbs
• standing for 8 hours at one time

Skills

• CNC (3 years of experience is preferred)
• Math and Calculation
• Blueprint Reading (3 years of experience is preferred)
