At Marano’s, the Counter Host isn’t just someone who takes orders—it’s the first smile guests see, the first “hello” that makes them feel at home. If you love talking to people, feel comfortable in a kitchen setting, and have some experience working with food, this role is for you.

What You’ll Do:

• Greet guests with warmth and a genuine smile, making them feel like they’ve stepped into a family kitchen.

• Take orders efficiently, answer questions confidently, and know our menu inside and out.

• Handle transactions smoothly, ensuring accuracy while keeping the line moving.

• Assist with food handling tasks like portioning sauces, assembling to-go orders, and basic prep work.

• Support the kitchen team with entry-level knife tasks like slicing deli meats, prepping onions, and cutting peppers.

• Keep the front-of-house clean, organized, and inviting—like the cozy kitchen of an Italian aunt who insists you eat more.

• Work as part of a team, pitching in wherever needed to keep service running smoothly.

What We’re Looking For:

• Someone who loves people and enjoys making guests feel welcome.

• A multitasker who thrives in a fast-paced, food-focused environment.

• Comfortable in a kitchen setting and able to handle basic food prep and entry-level knife work safely.

• Has prior experience in food service or a similar role—you know your way around a menu and can handle the heat.

• Reliable, friendly, and always ready to jump in and help.
