Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Certification and minimum 2+ years Surgical Tech / Operating Room Tech experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience as a Nursing OR Technician (ORT), or Surgical Technologist (Certified or Non-Certified)
• Strong knowledge of aseptic technique and surgical procedures
• Ability to anticipate the needs of the surgical team and maintain focus in fast-paced settings
• Familiarity with instrument sterilization, set-up, and handling
• Team player with excellent communication skills
• Current BLS certification preferred
• Demonstrated commitment to patient safety and quality care

Typical Responsibilities:

• Prepare the operating room and surgical instruments prior to procedures
• Assist surgeons and circulating nurses during operations
• Maintain sterile field and accurately track instruments and supplies
• Handle surgical specimens appropriately and prepare them for laboratory analysis
• Ensure equipment and supplies are cleaned, sterilized, and restocked after each procedure
• Support the surgical team through effective communication and collaboration
• Adhere to all operating room protocols and safety standards
