Position Summary

We are seeking candidates who are passionate about accounting to support our corporate accounting functions.

The selected candidate will work at our office in Huntsville with a hybrid of both in office and remote work (1 day per week). The person in this role will be primarily responsible for driving the weekly AP cycle and serve as part of the billing team.

What You’ll Do

• Receive AP bills from vendors and submit them to managers for approval.
• Review employee travel and expense reports for compliance with Joint Travel Regulations, customer requirements, and company policy.
• Track outstanding bills to ensure approvals are completed timely.
• Import and record AP bills in Deltek Costpoint.
• Prepare weekly open AP reports for Controller review and payment.
• Submit payments to vendors.
• Import and review travel and expense reports for employee reimbursements.
• Prepare, review and submit billing invoices to customers as part of month end close.
• Prepare supplemental billing reports
• Assist in monitoring cash inflows for timely cash payment receipts and contact customers when there are payment delays
• Assist in month end close activities including reconciling account balances, creating closing journal entries.
• Travel is not anticipated for this role

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Associate's degree in accounting is preferred. Equivalent years of accounting-related coursework can be substituted for a degree.
• 5-10 years of experience in government contracts accounting
• 3-5 years of experience in Deltek Costpoint
• Familiar with Wide Area Work Flow invoicing
• Knowledge of GAAP
• Familiar with the Federal Acquisition Regulation codification and Joint Travel Regulation
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, and Outlook.
• Ability to successfully complete an extensive background investigation.
