Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current SLP licensure in Alabama or eligibility to obtain
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, but strong CFY candidates are welcome
- Experience in a school-based setting is a plus
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to develop individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluate students with speech, language, and communication concerns
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with educators and families
- Provide direct and consultative therapeutic services to students
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to interdisciplinary team discussions
- Engage families and teachers to ensure carryover of therapy strategies
