Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification and 1+ years Pharmacy Technician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A veterinary compounding pharmacy is seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician with compounding experience to join a dynamic team on a temp-to-hire basis. This role supports a fast-paced, production-focused environment where approximately 200+ veterinary prescriptions are prepared and shipped daily. The technician will collaborate closely with pharmacists and fellow technicians to ensure the accurate compounding, packaging, and distribution of non-sterile and some sterile veterinary medications.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately prepare and compound veterinary medications, focusing primarily on non-sterile formulations with some sterile preparations
• Package, label, and ready prescriptions for shipment in compliance with quality standards
• Maintain cleanliness and functionality of compounding equipment and workspaces following standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Assist pharmacists with daily workflow and production demands
• Ensure strict adherence to pharmacy protocols and quality assurance practices
• Document procedures accurately and manage inventory as required
• Support a high-volume compounding operation while maintaining meticulous attention to detail

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

• Active Pharmacy Technician registration or certification as mandated by state requirements
• Prior experience in a compounding pharmacy setting, especially with non-sterile preparations
• Sterile compounding experience is highly preferred
• Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification is an advantage but not mandatory
• Background in veterinary or animal compounding is a plus
• Strong work ethic with the ability to follow procedures consistently and adapt quickly to workflow changes
• Dependable, self-motivated, and capable of thriving in a team-oriented, production-driven environment

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, with occasional flexibility depending on production needs
