Steward Machine is seeking a dependable and alert Non-Armed Security Guard to provide security coverage at Plant 1. This position operates on a rotating shift schedule shared between three employees and includes weekday, weekend, and holiday coverage.

Company-provided uniforms will be issued for this position.

Schedule

This role follows a rotating shift between three security team members:

Monday – Thursday:

2:00 PM – 5:00 AM

Friday:

2:00 PM – 6:00 AM (Saturday)

Weekend Coverage (Rotating):

Saturday 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Saturday 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM (Sunday)

Sunday 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Sunday 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM (Monday)

Schedule rotates weekly to ensure fair distribution of weekday, weekend, and holiday shifts.

Position Summary

The Non-Armed Security Guard is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for employees, visitors, and company property. This role requires high visibility, consistent patrol activity, strong attention to detail, and reliability during extended shifts.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Conduct hourly perimeter walks to ensure all gates are secure and locked
• Patrol the premises regularly, including offices and shop areas
• Ensure the building is unlocked for cleaning personnel upon arrival
• Verify that the building is fully secured and locked after cleaning crews leave
• Monitor facility access points and control entry/exit of personnel and visitors
• Observe and report any suspicious activity or safety concerns
• Maintain daily security logs and incident reports
• Enforce company policies and safety procedures
• Respond promptly to emergencies or security concerns

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Previous security or industrial facility experience preferred
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Ability to work overnight, weekends, and holidays
• Professional appearance and dependable work ethic

Physical Requirements

• Ability to walk the perimeter of the facility hourly
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to work 12+ hour shifts
