Senior Logistics Specialist

The Lockwood Group is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Multifunctional Senior Logistics Specialist to support the Army Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM). This role will specifically assist in efforts related to logistics planning, supply chain coordination, and the implementation and documentation of additive manufacturing (AM) initiatives. The selected candidate will perform a variety of administrative and operational support functions essential to the mission success of logistics and engineering teams. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Logistics subject matter expertise advice and consult to AMCOM Advanced manufacturing program management.
- Assess and track supply chain health and provide recommended courses of action for improvements and risk mitigations.
- Provide coordination with logistics stakeholders across the AMCOM, AMC and Army Enterprise.
- Provide high-level administrative support to the AMCOM ALC logistics and AM teams, including calendar management, meeting coordination, and travel arrangements.
- Prepare and edit correspondence, reports, presentations, and technical documentation related to logistics operations and additive manufacturing programs.
- Track and manage documentation related to AM initiatives including technical data packages (TDPs), part qualification reports, and materials certifications.
- Schedule and support programmatic and technical meetings, including taking minutes, preparing briefing materials, and tracking action items.
- Maintain organized files and ensure compliance with records management procedures, particularly for data related to AM part tracking and performance history.
- Support procurement coordination by gathering vendor quotes and facilitating purchase requests related to AM equipment, materials, and parts.
- Collaborate with government and contractor personnel to facilitate efficient information flow between logistics, engineering, and program management stakeholders.
- Support status reporting for program milestones and AM prototype delivery timelines.
- High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree or higher preferred.
- 8+ years of administrative or program support experience, preferably within a DoD or Army logistics or engineering environment.
- Working knowledge of logistics and supply chain principles; familiarity with Army logistics systems, Logistics Modernization Program (LMP) Global Combat Supply Support System- Army (GCSS-A).
- Knowledge Army supply chain management and documentation practices, and familiarity with automated data management tools such as Army Vantage, Power BI
- Interest or exposure to additive manufacturing processes, terminology, and documentation requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to interact professionally with both government and contractor personnel.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Active Secret Clearance
- Experience supporting AMCOM, AMC, or other Army acquisition/logistics programs.
- Exposure to technical documentation, such as drawings, specifications, or manufacturing process instructions.
- Familiarity with advanced manufacturing technologies.
Salary :
- 90k to 100k
