We are seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer or Analyst with proven experience in the Risk Management Framework (RMF) who excels in high-pressure environments and is driven to make a meaningful, real-world impact. Primary Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end execution of the Risk Management Framework (RMF), driving systems through assessment, authorization, and successful Authorizations to Operate (ATO).
- Plan and perform meaningful security testing, assessments, and analysis to identify vulnerabilities and strengthen overall system security posture.
- Develop, manage, and maintain RMF authorization packages and supporting documentation in compliance with Department of Defense requirements and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) control frameworks.
- Execute hands-on cybersecurity activities within tools and frameworks such as eMASS, Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) STIGs, and ACAS/Tenable to implement and validate security controls.
- Conduct comprehensive security assessments, including vulnerability analysis, remediation planning, and validation of corrective actions.
- Review system architectures and security engineering designs, providing actionable recommendations to ensure compliance while maintaining operational effectiveness of mission-critical systems.
- Collaborate closely with software developers, engineers, data analysts, and mission stakeholders to integrate security into system design and development from the outset.
- Maintain and update key cybersecurity artifacts, including Software Bill of Materials (SBOM), vulnerability scan results, Security Impact Analyses (SIA), and Change Requests (CR), supporting continuous compliance and system evolution.
- Represent Trigon Cyber with professionalism and technical expertise across all client-facing and onsite engagements.
Qualifications
Required Skills/Experience
- 5+ years of technical cybersecurity experience.
- B.S. degree in science, engineering, or mathematics.
- Security+ (or equivalent IAT Level II certification).
- RMF expertise youve led packages, written documentation, and delivered ATOs.
- Hands-on experience with eMASS, DISA STIGs, SCAP, NIST control sets, and Tenable Nessus or similar product for vulnerability management analysis and reporting.
- PowerShell scripting for generating artifacts.
- Active Secret Clearance.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for direct customer interaction.
- U.S. Citizenship
Desired Skills/Experience
- Previous on-site support experience with government or DoD customers.
- Familiarity with military/tactical or enterprise DoD systems.
- Network and operating system (OS) troubleshooting experience.
- Microsoft 365 Cloud Administration experience.
- Ability to operate effectively in high-visibility, customer-facing roles.
- Active Secret Clearance
