Responsibilities

The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of South Alabama Whiddon College of Medicine is seeking a fellowship-trained, BE/BC orthopaedic tumor surgeon, specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of tumor diseases and complex joint and limb reconstruction to join the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. The practice maintains a Level I Trauma Center with over 2,000 trauma admissions per year, and the region's largest trauma center.

The successful candidate will have a keen interest in academic surgery in the areas of patient care, resident and student education, and trauma-related clinical and translational research. Candidates who have completed an accredited training program and are eligible for and maintain an unrestricted Alabama medical license are eligible to apply.
