Office Manager

Work schedule would be a min of 40 hours up to 50 hours depending on workload

Some weekends and after hour work needed.

Remote work days will be a possibility after training.


Pay range depending on experience - some room for negotiation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for daily operations of the accounting office as well as the accurate and timely reporting of financial operating reports and governmental tax returns.
  • Supervision, training, and development of office staff to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
  • Analyze and organize office operations and procedures. Establish and maintain a strong internal control structure including appropriate segregation of duties in the accounting department
  • Coordinate and prepare month-end reconciliations for all accounts and physical inventories.
  • Maintain and post monthly standard entries.
  • Review journal entries and approve any adjustments to inventory, COS, and expense accounts.
  • Assist controller with preparation of complete financial statements monthly according to dealership guidelines and within each manufacturer's format and time frame. Ensures that all manufacturer accounts, including warranty claims, rebates, interest protection and co-op advertising are current and accurate.
  • Interprets the financial statement and the daily operating control (DOC) regularly and informs dealer of
    developing trends.
  • Assist controller with annual audit (or review) and physical inventory.
  • Continually strives to improve data integrity and information reporting throughout the dealership.

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Franchise retail automotive dealership office manager experience, 2-4 years.
  • Strong full-cycle accounting experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (Desired)
  • Proficiency in CDK DMS Software & Microsoft Office applications (Required)
  • Strong leadership and time management skills.
