Facility Manager (Part-Time)
- Will oversee the daily maintenance, repair, and upkeep of the office building, ensuring all equipment, HVAC systems, electrical, plumbing, and lighting systems are functioning properly.
- Coordinate and supervise facility-related contractors, vendors, and service providers.
- Implement preventative maintenance programs to minimize disruptions and downtime.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Manage the office layout, including space planning, furniture arrangement, and ensuring the optimal use of the office environment for both productivity and comfort.
- Prepare and manage the annual facility budget, including forecasting maintenance costs, utility expenses, and capital improvement projects.
- Lead office renovations, relocations, and reconfigurations as necessary.
- Monitor space utilization and implement solutions to optimize space efficiency.
- Implement sustainable and energy-efficient practices to reduce waste, conserve energy, and lower utility costs.
- Identify and suggest areas for improvement in building operations to increase environmental sustainability.
- Act as the primary point of contact for employees regarding facility-related issues (e.g., repairs, temperature control, cleanliness).
- Ensure that the office building complies with all applicable regulatory requirements, including those of OSHA, ADA, and fire safety codes.
- Maintain up-to-date records for building inspections, certifications, and compliance.
- General Accounting support with Month-End Closing.
- ERP – Report Writing and support.
- Other duties as assigned.
- 5+ years of experience in facility management, preferably in an office or corporate environment.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance processes, and safety regulations.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with employees, vendors, and contractors.
- Ability to think strategically and solve problems quickly and efficiently.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of sustainable building practices and energy management.
- Ability to inspect building systems and facilities (which may involve walking, climbing stairs, and lifting up to 25 pounds).
- Must be available for emergency response outside of regular business hours as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
- Certifications in Facility Management (e.g., IFMA’s CFM, LEED, or similar) are a plus.
