Job Description
We are currently hiring an Industrial Painter for a fabrication facility in Mobile, Alabama. This position is responsible for preparing and applying industrial coatings to structural steel, fabricated components, piping, and other metal surfaces.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in industrial painting, fabrication, or manufacturing and be comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare metal surfaces through cleaning, sanding, grinding, and masking
- Apply primers, epoxies, urethanes, and industrial coatings using spray equipment, brushes, and rollers
- Mix paints and coatings to required specifications
- Perform touch-up painting and coating repairs as needed
- Inspect finished surfaces to ensure quality and proper coverage
- Maintain paint equipment, hoses, and tools
- Follow production schedules, work instructions, and safety procedures
- Work with fabrication and production teams to meet deadlines
- Keep work areas clean and organized
Requirements
- Previous industrial painting experience preferred
- Experience with spray systems and industrial coating equipment
- Knowledge of metal surface preparation methods
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Ability to work in a fabrication or manufacturing setting
- Ability to lift materials and work in physically demanding conditions
- Willingness to work overtime as needed
