Estimator
Location: Jacksonville, FlKey Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and project bids for commercial and industrial projects
- Analyze drawings, specifications, and addenda for accurate quantity takeoffs and scope
- Compile, organize, and submit complete bid packages promptly
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to clarify scope and pricing
- Review and assess subcontractor and supplier quotes for accuracy and competitiveness
- Track bid outcomes and update estimating logs
- Support preconstruction meetings, bid reviews, and proposal presentations
- Maintain organized digital records of historical estimates and vendor pricing
- Provide value-engineering options where applicable
- Help close deals through confident and professional client communication
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in construction estimating
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Proven success in preparing and winning profitable bids across multiple trades
- Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to learn new software and processes quickly
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Willingness to adapt and grow in a fast-paced construction environment
- Experience with customer-facing presentations and bid negotiations is a plus
