Remote Data-Video Contributor

Record first-person video of everyday household tasks using your smartphone to create synchronized, high-quality data for AI training. This fully remote contractor role pays hourly for submitted footage and includes provided wearable mounting equipment.

micro1 is an AI data lab that converts real-world expertise into training data and evaluations for frontier AI models. Contributors across many domains help improve how AI systems learn, reason, and perform.

• Capture household chores and specified physical tasks from a first-person point of view using your smartphone.
• Record synchronized video footage that follows project guidelines for quality and perspective.
• Perform tasks safely and consistently while wearing the provided phone mount or head strap.
• Complete required onboarding checks and follow any project-specific instructions for video capture.

• Required skills: video capturing, familiarity with IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit) data capture, and strong attention to detail.
• Must own a compatible smartphone: iPhone 12 or later, Google Pixel 6, 7, 8, or 9, or Samsung Galaxy S21 or later.
• Comfortable wearing a head-mounted phone mount supplied by the project.
• Physically able to perform repetitive movement tasks safely for the duration required by each recording session.

• Location requirement: you must be based in one of the following U.S. states: Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia, Wisconsin, or Wyoming.
• Start timeline: hiring is active now, start date depends on shipping time for the head-strap/wearable equipment sent to your home.
• You will use your smartphone to record required tasks, and a head strap or similar wearable will be provided and shipped to you; you must be comfortable using that equipment.
• Onboarding includes a device compatibility check and an AI-enabled interview that you must complete before recording.

• Pay rate: $13.00 to $15.00 per hour, paid based on hours of recorded video you submit that meet project guidelines.
• Signing bonus: $20 paid after you complete 20 hours of work with the project.
• Reimbursement: cost of the head strap wearable will be reimbursed after you complete 20 hours of work.

• You must be eligible to work in the United States.
