As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Agent in Birmingham, AL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support access awareness with strong customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, patients, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or public emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials when required, and report unusual behavior, hazards, and/or policy violations according to post orders.
• Support Allied Universal and site leadership with incident reporting, routine checks, and follow-up on security-related concerns while maintaining professionalism and discretion.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a concealed carry weapons permit.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
