Emergency Physician – $560K | Rainbow City, AL | 1099 | 12-Hour Shifts | Strategic Location

This Emergency Medicine opportunity offers high earnings with predictable scheduling—just 1 hour from Birmingham and 2 hours from Atlanta for metro amenities and lifestyle balance.

COMPENSATION:

• $325/hour = approximately $561,000 annually (based on 12 shifts per month)

• Predictable 12-shift monthly schedule

• $560K before overtime

• Permanent 1099 independent contractor status

SCHEDULE:

• 12-hour shifts: 7am–7pm or 7pm–7am

• 12 shifts per month

• Flexible full-time or part-time scheduling (minimum 6 shifts/month)

FACILITY OVERVIEW:

• Regional referral center serving multi-county population

• Full spectrum emergency cases: trauma, cardiac, stroke, respiratory, pediatric, acute medical

• Broad case mix ensures clinical variety and engagement

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Deliver high-quality emergency medicine in a regional referral center

• Manage diverse patient presentations: trauma, cardiac events, stroke, respiratory emergencies, pediatrics, acute medical conditions

• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary care team

• Maintain clinical excellence and patient safety standards

• Provide continuity of care in a high-acuity setting

REQUIREMENTS:

• MD or DO degree

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM or AOBEM), OR recent EM resident

• 2+ years recent emergency medicine experience in hospital setting (or just out of residency)

• Alabama Medical License eligibility

• ATLS, ACLS, BLS, PALS certifications (all required)
