Licensed Nail Technician
Job Summary
The licensed Nail Technician is responsible for providing high quality nail care services including manicures, pedicures, nail art and nail enhancements while ensuring excellent hygiene and client satisfaction. While maintaining a relaxing environment, the technician will make clients look and feel their best by offering expert advice.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform manicures and pedicures, including nail trimming, shaping, cuticle grooming, buffing and polishing.
- Apply building gel or other nail enhancements as requested.
- Offer luxury hand and foot massages as part of treatment services.
- Create custom nail art and designs based on client's requests and offer suggestions based on current trends.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation and tools, following state and local health and safety guidelines.
- Advise clients on proper nail care and suggest products for home use.
- Keep up with nail trends, techniques and product knowledge.
- Build strong relationships with clients to create a following.
- Suggest other Spa services and products to clients to increase the business of the Spa.
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the Spa, including common areas, back rooms, and laundry when needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Alabama State Nail Technician or Cosmetology License.
- Certification in advanced nail techniques preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Knowledge of current trends in nail art and treatments.
- Attention to detail and creativity
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
