We have an opening for a Logistics Coordinator position working at a family-owned trucking company providing logistics services for a manufacturing plant located in Trinity, AL. This is an evaluation-to-hire opportunity with potential for full-time placement.

**Skills/Qualifications

**

2 to 3 years in an Operations Coordinator or a similar role.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products, especially Outlook and Excel.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Telephone, radio and email are essential.

Ability to lift 40 lb. unassisted.

Punctuality and dependability.

**Duties/Responsibilities

**

Organize workflow/set priorities/monitor activity/ensure completion of work.

Resolve customer problems and complaints to ensure customer satisfaction.

Create & develop innovative ways of streamlining the operations processes wherever possible within the guidelines of customer requirements & team goals.

Complete or assist with miscellaneous projects as needed.

Review and revise, when necessary, all load assignments.

Dispatch & supervise drivers on loads.

Measure and report driver performance.

Monitor asset's location and availability.

Schedule trucks to shop for PM service Conduct immediate follow up and management of any exception.

Serve as backup as required by volume/absence.

Work closely with clients/staff to ensure operational questions/procedures are answered/observed.

Responsible for the creation of exception reports, and notating delays/problems.

Processing information (compiling, coding, categorizing, calculating, tabulating, auditing, or verifying information or data).

Perform job duties in an efficient and responsible manner.
