As a Unarmed Security Professional - Government Site in Bessemer, AL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment within a government location. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the premises, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service to all individuals on site. You will be expected to communicate clearly and professionally, respond promptly to any security-related concerns, and work collaboratively with your team to uphold the values of Allied Universal. This position requires a valid driver's license in the job state, as you may be responsible for driving as part of your patrol duties. What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control and monitor entry and exit points as required by site-specific procedures.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and/or irregularities encountered during patrols.
• Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and/or members of the public while upholding Allied Universal standards.

Minimum Requirements:

• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Experience with access control systems and/or badge systems is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A valid driver's license in the job state is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
