Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving and operating various heavy machinery on commercial job sites, including mini excavators and skid steers, to dig ditches and manage water runoff systems. This role involves working closely with plumbing and mechanical contractors, primarily focusing on underground utility work.

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate mini excavators and skid steers on commercial job sites.
• Dig ditches and create runoff systems for water management.
• Collaborate with plumbing and mechanical contractors for underground utility tasks.
• Ensure the safe and efficient operation of heavy equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance checks on machinery.

• 3-5+ years of experience in digging ditches and site work for underground plumbing and storm runoff.
• 3-5+ years of experience operating excavators and skid steers.
• 3-5+ years of experience driving heavy equipment on industrial and commercial job sites.

• Proficiency in operating front end loaders, backhoes, track hoes, and dozers.
• Experience in civil construction and site work operations.
• 3-5+ years of experience in paving and grading.

Work Environment

You will work on various commercial job sites, primarily outdoors, operating a range of heavy equipment. The role requires adherence to safety standards and may involve working in varying weather conditions.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Birmingham, AL.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Birmingham,AL.
