Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Special Education or a related field
- Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation
- Experience working with diverse student populations and varying exceptionalities
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Adaptability and a problem-solving mindset
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging lessons tailored to each student’s needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to ensure accommodations are met
- Write, review, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in partnership with multidisciplinary teams
- Monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
- Maintain accurate records and complete required documentation in a timely manner
- Foster a safe, supportive, and positive classroom atmosphere
