Cybersecurity & Data Privacy Associate – Birmingham, AL
Direct Counsel is representing an AmLaw 100 firm seeking a Cybersecurity & Data Privacy Associate to join its nationally recognized Technology Transactions & Data Privacy team in Birmingham . This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge cybersecurity and privacy matters within a collaborative national practice.
Key ResponsibilitiesAdvise clients on cybersecurity and data privacy matters, including incident response and privacy compliance
Assist with regulatory investigations, data breach response, and related litigation
Support clients with risk mitigation strategies and practical, business-oriented legal solutions
Work closely with partners and clients on emerging data privacy and cybersecurity issues
Conduct legal research, draft memoranda, and assist with compliance and regulatory matters
J.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials
Experience in a law firm or similar professional environment preferred
Interest in cybersecurity, privacy compliance, and regulatory matters
Experience with cyber incident response or complex commercial litigation is a plus
Excellent writing, analytical, and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Alabama Bar admission required
