POSITION DESCRIPTION
Position Title: Alabama Warm Line Coordinator
Must Reside In Alabama
Salary Range: $45,000-$55,000
Location: Birmingham, AL (Remote)
Reports to: Warm Line Director
FTE: 1 (40 hours per week) Full Time/Virtual
Job Summary
The Warm Line Coordinator reports to the Warm Line Director and provides vision, leadership, and motivation to the Warm Line staff in furthering Wings’ mission and accomplishing its goals. Working with the Warm Line Director, the Warm Line Coordinator supports the Warm Line Director in implementing Warm Line goals and objectives. This position will serve as back up to the Warm Line Director and vice versa as needed. This position is supervised by the Warm Line Director. This is a remote and full-time FLSA exempt position.
Essential Duties
- Manage phones, scheduling, and messaging through RingCentral.
- Update RingCentral and monthly schedule according to unplanned changes in scheduling (i.e. call outs, illness, etc.).
- Maintain monthly/weekly staffing schedule to ensure full coverage of all scheduled Warm Line hours.
- Complete monthly data report and submit to Warm Line Director by the 3rd of the month.
- Follow up with any staff that may fall behind on regular data entry as set forth in the Warm Line Policies and Procedures Manual.
- Co-facilitate orientation and ongoing training for Warm Line staff.
- Supervise and train on-call team.
- Maintain administrative documents such as Warm Line Contact Lists, etc.
- Support the Warm Line Director with conducting monthly one-on-one supervision of Warm Line Staff.
- Serve as back-up to the Executive Director in leading weekly team meetings.
- Work collaboratively with the Warm Line Director to ensure that policies and procedures remain current.
- Report any issues that may significantly impact the Warm Line, Wings, or individuals therein to the Warm Line Director
- Maintain contact with Warm Line staff and on-call, and respond to their needs as appropriate.
- Promote an atmosphere of mutual support and empowerment for the Warm Line Team.
- Foster self-help, informed choice, advocacy and elimination of stigma and discrimination.
- Promote personal empowerment, responsibility, and self-direction for all team members.
- Model and uphold the peer values of mutual respect, equality, safety, and peer collaboration in all program activities.
- Oversee the delivery of services consistent with peer values of mutual respect and peer support.
Minimum Qualifications
Education/ Experience Requirements:
● Previous experience working on a hot line, crisis line, or warm line is highly desired.
- Ability to gain proficiency in all of Wings technology and programs used to support the organization and willingness to integrate technology tools into personal workflow for increased efficiency and documentation.
Required Skills and Certifications:
- Maintains current certification as an Alabama Certified Peer Specialist. If not already Alabama CPS, must be certified within 6 months of hire date.
- Self-identifies as a person with lived experience of mental illness.
- Desires to give and receive positive and constructive feedback and supervision throughout all experiences with the Warm Line.
- Has a commitment to maintaining high levels of skills and performance and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Communicates clearly and is easily understood over the telephone.
- Ability to hold all people in unconditional high regard and a commitment to respect all race, religion, color, national origin, ancestry, disability, medical condition, marital status, gender or gender identity, gender expression, age, sexual orientation, military or veteran status, or any other aspect of diversity.
- Effective organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency to include, but not limited to the following: MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Zoom, Canva and Google Drive.
- Understanding of APPR and/or Wellness Recovery Action Plan preferred.
Environment and Scheduling
- Work schedule as determined. Some weekend time and evenings are necessary; some travel necessary, with expenses paid.
- Remote position.
