Compensation: $65,000 to $75,000 plus bonus potential

About the Opportunity

A well-run, high-volume restaurant in the Madison market is looking for an Assistant General Manager who wants more responsibility, real leadership exposure, and a clear path forward.

This is not a backseat role. The Assistant General Manager will be heavily involved in daily operations, floor leadership, team development, and maintaining standards during busy shifts. The environment is fast-paced, guest-focused, and structured, making it an excellent opportunity for a leader who wants to continue building toward a General Manager role.

The ownership group is invested in developing managers, promoting from within, and giving strong performers the tools and support to keep growing. If you enjoy being on the floor, coaching teams, and owning results alongside a supportive GM, this is a strong next step.

What They’re Looking For

• 3 to 6 years of restaurant leadership experience
• Background in busy, guest-facing, full-service or polished casual environments
• Experience leading shifts and supporting multi-function teams
• Strong floor presence with the ability to lead under pressure
• Comfort coaching team members and holding accountability
• Exposure to scheduling, labor awareness, and basic financials
• Polished, professional communication style
• Positive attitude with a growth-focused mindset

Key Responsibilities

• Support daily restaurant operations and lead shifts on the floor
• Partner with the General Manager to maintain standards and culture
• Coach and develop hourly team members and key leaders
• Ensure consistency in hospitality, food quality, and cleanliness
• Assist with scheduling, labor planning, and cost awareness
• Support hiring, onboarding, and performance management
• Step in as leader on duty to ensure smooth daily execution
