POSITION SUMMARY WELD ALL NECESSARY PARTS AND JOINTS OF THE TRAILER PER ENGINEERING SPECIFICATIONS POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (COMPETENCY STATEMENT(S)) • MIG WELD EITHER STEEL OR ALUMINUM TRAILER PARTS • MIG WELD IN FLAT AND VERTICAL POSITIONS • Mechanical skills • Basic Math skills • Ability to accurately read a tape measure, weld symbols and blueprints • Pass Fontaine Specified Weld Test EXPERIENCE • Welding experience preferred • Formal welding training Job Step Description of step in proper sequence (got this from job description they sent) 0 SET-UP WELDER #1 1 Use overhead crane to pick up 2 beams and place in setup. 2 Pick up cross members from tables by setup station and tack weld onto beams 3 Use overhead crane to pickup suspensions and place on beams 4 Weld the buckets of the suspensions onto the beams 5 Pick up landing gear and place onto beams 6 Tack weld landing gear braces onto the beam 7 Bolt landing gear onto brace using pneumatic impact gun 8 Pick up king pin nest with overhead crane and weld onto front of beams 9 Weld front skirt onto front of beams 10 Weld K braces and V braces onto beams 11 Weld tank brackets on 12 Weld backing plate on, if necessary 0 SET-UP WELDER #2 1 Pick up floor sills and slide into holes 2 Set side rails into turn jig and clamp side rails using pneumatic clamps 3 Weld all floor sills to the beams 4 Weld tail skirt, bumper, winch track, mid turn bracket and side rail braces 0 TURN FIXTURE WELDING STATION 1 Move trailer from Set-up #2 station to the Turn Fixture Welding Station with overhead crane 2 Use handle on sliding trailer securement to place pin and bolted nut to secure trailer in turn jig. 3 Once trailer is secure and moved to the side position, lock trailer positioning to keep straight using air activated valve handle 4 Complete any necessary welding on trailer

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Haleyville, AL.

The pay range for this position is $27.40 - $27.40/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Haleyville,AL.
