Take your expertise in Speech-Language Pathology to an enriching educational setting in Birmingham, Alabama. This contract opportunity runs from August 7 to June 10, supporting school-aged children across various locations. Your caseload will reflect the needs of the district, providing invaluable SLP services and ensuring every student receives the support they deserve.

What We're Looking For:

• Valid Professional Educator Certification
• Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communicative Disorders from a regionally accredited college or university
• Deep understanding of laws, rules, and regulations related to special education and regulated programs
• Strong background in pediatric and adolescent development, including knowledge of assessment tools for children with disabilities
• Ability to interpret, analyze, and apply relevant policies and data
• Familiarity with physical and learning disabilities terminology
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• PREFERRED: ASHA Certification and ABSESPA Licensure

Your Responsibilities:

• Deliver speech-language services, assessments, and interventions across assigned schools
• Interpret and utilize diagnostic instruments to craft targeted support plans for students
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and staff to maximize each child’s communication and academic potential
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and district educational requirements
• Compile, analyze, and report data on student progress to inform instruction
• Create a supportive, inclusive environment that celebrates student diversity and growth
