BloGo Salon + Medspa:

Responsible for providing services related to the hair appearance such as cuts, color, and styling to our clients. Other treatments applied by our cosmetologists are scalp massages and waxing procedures. You may be required to check in clients as they arrive and to also schedule new appointments. Our cosmetologists may also be required to answer the telephone and must have the knowledge to answer any questions clients or potential clients might have. Our Stylists must have product knowledge and be able to assist clients in advising which type(s) of product to purchase. They will also oversee general maintenance and cleaning of the salon and all staff only areas.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

1. Completed Proper Licensing Education.

2. High school diploma or GED.

3. Two-year’s experience working as a cosmetologist, preferred.

1. Possesses wide-ranging knowledge of hair care treatments and products.

2. Excellent communication skills.

3. Good problem solving and analytical skills.

4. Ability to work as a team member.

5. Well-organized with attention to detail.

6. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

7. Treats patients and co-workers with respect.

8. Empathetic with client’s needs and concerns.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Arrive for work 10 minutes before scheduled.
• Perform all services reflective of BloGo protocols.
• Promote + Market on my professional social media pages and collaborate with BloGo social media channels.
• Analyzes clients' hair and other physical features to determine and recommend beauty treatment or to suggest hair styles.
• Cuts, trims, and shapes hair, based on clients' requests, hair type and facial features, using clippers, scissors, hot tools, hair dryer, etc.
• Bleaches, dyes, or tints hair, using applicator or brush.
• Shape and tint eyebrows and remove facial hair, using tweezers, or wax.
• Shampoos, rinses, conditions, and dries hair and scalp. Massages and treats scalp for hygienic and remedial purposes.
• Develops new styles and techniques.
• Updates and maintains customer information records, such as beauty services provided.
• Keep Salon & Workstation clean and sanitizes tools such as scissors and combs.
• Advise clients and sell hair care products. Inform them of our promotions + series + packages.
• Maintain current product knowledge of all products that we sell.
• Fill up hot towel cabinet for the day upon spa opening and in between appointments when necessary/shut down at night and when empty.
• Turn off all equipment before closing (styling tools, wax warmers, etc).
• Process laundry/fold and put away when time permits.
• Familiarize with all aspects of all computer software and at times schedule, cancel and adjust client appointments.
• Answering telephones when needed and greet clients when they walk in
• At times, checking in and out clients and if necessary, rebook appointments. (Always ask if they want to re-book)
• Perform general housekeeping duties.
• Monitors Salon equipment to ensure proper operation and maintains said equipment in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.
• Maintains treatment rooms and work areas in compliance with OSHA standards.
• Participates and attends educational programs and staff meetings.
• Supports Salon Floor Manager with inventory-tracking for retail and professional products.
• Supports Salon Floor Manager + COO relative to supplies (Amazon, etc) orders and stocks inventory and supplies as needed for maintaining Salon and retail areas.
• Maintain a valid cosmetology license in accordance with state regulations.
