Sitework Designer

Title: Sitework Designer Job Description: A Civil Engineer specializing in site development is responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing the construction and maintenance of infrastructure. This includes ensuring that substations, transmission lines, and related facilities are integrated seamlessly into the site. Responsibilities: - Develop detailed site plans and specifications for power delivery systems, including substations, transmission lines, and associated infrastructure. - Coordinate with electrical engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. - Conduct site reconnaissance to assess field conditions, drainage, erosion control needs, and as-built conditions. - Ensure all designs and constructions comply with local, state, and federal regulations and safety codes. - Provide technical expertise and support for engineers and project managers. - Monitor construction activities to ensure materials and workmanship meet project quality standards and design requirements. - Address and resolve any issues that arise during the construction process. - Prepare and present reports on project progress, costs, and any issues to senior management and stakeholders. Essential Skills: - Proficiency in Civil Engineering and site development. - Ability to perform preparatory designs and calculations. - Experience conducting site walkdowns and cost estimates. - Proficiency in using Civil 3D for design. - Understanding and experience with erosion and sediment control. - Familiarity with AutoCAD. Additional Skills & Qualifications: - Experience in civil engineering design. - Capability in project engineering. Work Environment: - This position is based in the Birmingham area. - The work environment involves the use of advanced engineering tools and collaboration with a team of professionals dedicated to maintaining high standards in power delivery infrastructure. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
