Snelling is currently recruiting a highly experienced permanent Industrial Maintenance Technician for a steel fabricator company in the Irondale area. The maintenance tech will apply specific maintenance and repair procedures to install, maintain and repair production machinery and equipment as well as to maintain the buildings and grounds.

Starting pay for Industrial Maintenance Tech: $20.00-26.00/hr, depending on experience.

Opening is on 1st shift, with overtime!

Key Responsibilities of Industrial Maintenance Technician:

• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on a variety of industrial equipment and machinery
• Diagnosing and addressing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues to minimize downtime and maximize productivity
• Conduct routine inspections and implement proactive maintenance strategies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements
• Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities and equipment performance
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe work environment

Qualifications Required of Industrial Maintenance Technician:

• Associate's degree or technical certification in industrial maintenance, electromechanical technology, or a related field
• 3-5 years of experience as an industrial maintenance technician or in a similar role
• Proficient in the use of diagnostic tools, power tools, and mechanical equipment
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
