NOW HIRING: Experienced Heavy Equipment Operators

Excavator • Bulldozer • Motor Grader

CG Jones Construction is a growing commercial general contractor specializing in site development, commercial building construction, underground utilities, and concrete construction. We're looking for experienced professionals who want to build their careers with a company that values safety, quality, teamwork, and professionalism.

Our projects are primarily located throughout Northwest Alabama , with an expanding presence in Northeast Mississippi and Southern Tennessee .

We're looking for operators who take pride in producing quality work, operating equipment efficiently, and maintaining a safe jobsite.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment including excavators, bulldozers, and motor graders
• Perform mass grading, site preparation, excavation, trenching, and finish grading
• Read grade stakes, laser levels, and construction plans
• Load trucks and move materials safely and efficiently
• Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs
• Work closely with superintendents and field crews to complete projects safely and on schedule
• Follow all company safety policies and OSHA requirements

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience operating heavy construction equipment
• Experience operating one or more of the following:
• • Excavators
  • Bulldozers
  • Motor Graders
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Experience reading grades, plans, and elevations preferred
• Strong work ethic with dependable attendance
• Valid driver's license required (CDL is a plus)
• Willingness to assist the crew when equipment is not in operation
