AMVAC has an opportunity for an Indirect Sourcing Manager. The Indirect Sourcing Manager is responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies for all indirect spend categories including MRO, facilities, utilities, professional services, capital projects, IT services, equipment, and plant support materials in the U.S.A. The individual in this role will ensure that purchasing decisions optimize cost, quality, service, and risk for the organization. The Indirect Sourcing Manager partners with Operations, Engineering, Finance, EH&S, and Corporate teams to drive supplier performance, contract compliance, and long-term value across the supply chain.

KEY RESPONSIBILTIES
Strategic Sourcing & Category Management
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies for all indirect categories, ensuring alignment with business goals and budget requirements.
- Perform market research, benchmark pricing, and analyze cost drivers to identify sourcing opportunities.
- Lead RFP / RFQ processes, negotiate pricing, contract terms, and service levels to achieve total cost of ownership (TCO) benefits.
- Build multi-year category plans to support continuous improvement and long-term cost optimization.
Supplier Relationship Management
- Identify, evaluate, and qualify suppliers based on capability, quality, service, sustainability, and risk.
- Manage supplier performance through KPIs, scorecards, business reviews, and corrective action plans.
- Develop strategic supplier partnerships to support capital projects, plant reliability, safety, and operational efficiency.
- Ensure suppliers comply with regulatory, safety, and quality requirements for chemical manufacturing environments.
Contract & Risk Management
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts and service agreements in partnership with the legal department.
- Ensure contract compliance, risk mitigation, and proper documentation for all indirect purchases.
- Monitor supplier risk, market volatility, and long‑term supply constraints to proactively protect the business.
Operational Procurement Support
- Collaborate with site operations, maintenance, engineering, EH&S, and IT to understand business needs and service requirements.
- Support capital project procurement including bid packages, contractor sourcing, and cost analysis.
- Partner with AP, Finance, and Site Procurement teams to streamline purchasing, invoicing, and supplier onboarding processes.
- Identify opportunities for process automation, workflow optimization, and digital procurement improvement.
Cost Optimization & Continuous Improvement
- Drive year‑over‑year cost savings and value creation initiatives.
- Analyze spend data; identify consolidation opportunities; reduce unmanaged indirect spend.
- Contribute to budgeting and forecasting for indirect categories.
- Implement supply chain best practices, standardize procurement procedures, and support compliance initiatives.
Cross‑Functional Partnership
- Collaborate with Operations and Maintenance teams to ensure reliable supply of indirect materials critical to plant uptime.
- Partner with EH&S to ensure contractor safety, regulatory compliance, and chemical‑industry safety standards.
- Support leadership in developing procurement best practices, training, and policies.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field required.
- Master’s degree or supply chain certifications (CPSM, CSCP, CPM) preferred.
Experience
- 5+ years of strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain experience, preferably in manufacturing.
- Experience managing indirect categories such as MRO, facilities services, utilities, engineering services, and/or capital equipment.
- Experience in chemical, manufacturing, industrial, or plant environment strongly preferred.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong negotiation, communication, and supplier management skills.
- Ability to analyze complex cost structures, contracts, and commercial risks.
- Knowledge of procurement systems (SAP, Oracle, Coupa, etc.).
- Strategic thinker with strong attention to detail and project management capability.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and collaborative leadership.
Work Environment
- Office-based with regular interaction with manufacturing plants, engineering teams, and site operations.
- Some travel required (5–15%) to vendor sites and company plants.
