Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Provide expert pharmacy care as a Home Infusion Pharmacist in a direct hire role based in Deatsville, AL. This position focuses on delivering safe, patient-centered pharmacy services within the alternate care and home infusion settings. You will play a critical role in assessing therapy appropriateness, dispensing medication and supplies, educating patients and caregivers, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.

Responsibilities include:

• Practicing pharmacy ethically and in line with current policies, regulations, and professional standards
• Assessing patient eligibility for home infusion therapies and appropriateness of prescribed treatments
• Designing and managing individualized care plans with clear therapy goals
• Dispensing medications, medical equipment, and infusion supplies accurately
• Monitoring laboratory results, performing pharmacokinetic dosing, and documenting patient progress
• Educating patients and caregivers on safe medication use and infusion techniques
• Ensuring USP compliance in sterile compounding and cleanroom activities
• Supervising pharmacy support staff, interns, and students in daily operations
• Participating in patient care conferences and providing drug information as needed
• Sharing on-call responsibilities to promptly address patient needs outside regular hours

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy required; PharmD or Masters degree preferred
• Active Alabama pharmacist license with a clear disciplinary record
• At least one year of recent experience in home infusion pharmacy
• Strong knowledge of IV admixture services and infusion therapy protocols
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills

Schedule:

• Full-time, Monday through Friday
• Typical hours 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM or 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with flexibility to stay longer when necessary
