Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Physical Therapist position is available to support students across all K-12 sites within the district. This contract role is based in Trussville, AL, and offers a structured schedule aligned with the standard school day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide physical therapy services to K-12 students across multiple school sites within the district.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student’s needs.
- Collaborate with educators, school staff, and families to support student progress and mobility.
- Maintain detailed documentation and comply with all district and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions focused on student outcomes.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Licensed Physical Therapist with experience in school-based therapy services.
- Ability to provide services during the school day, Monday through Friday, from 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with educators and families.
- Experience working with children and adolescents across a range of developmental levels.
- Flexibility to serve all school sites within the district as needed.
Position Details:
- Contract duration: August 6th through November 13th.
- Full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week, aligned with school hours.
- Location: Trussville, Alabama.
