Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A Special Education Teacher position is available at an elementary school in Selma, AL, for the upcoming school year. This contract role is ideal for educators passionate about supporting diverse learners and fostering an inclusive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique needs.
• Deliver specialized instruction in accordance with state guidelines and best educational practices.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to promote student success.
• Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting strategies as needed to meet learning goals.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to special education services.
• Foster a supportive and positive classroom atmosphere that encourages student engagement.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid Alabama teaching certification in Special Education.
• Experience working with elementary-aged students with diverse learning needs.
• Strong knowledge of special education laws, instructional strategies, and behavioral interventions.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
