ABOUT THE ROLE
ExoAnalytic Solutions is seeking a Software Engineer specializing in quality and safety engineering to ensure the reliability, performance, and mission assurance of software systems supporting national defense and space operations. You’ll collaborate with developers, systems engineers, and program leads to embed quality and safety principles throughout the entire software lifecycle.
This role is ideal for an engineer who takes pride in improving processes, driving technical excellence, and contributing to a culture where teams own both the product and its outcomes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and apply software quality assurance and safety practices across multiple programs
- Review designs, code, and test results to ensure quality, reliability, and compliance
- Identify and track issues, risks, and improvements throughout the development cycle
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure verification and validation goals are met
- Support audits, readiness reviews, and documentation for customer and program requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Physics, Engineering, or a related technical field
- 3+ years experience in software quality assurance, verification, or safety engineering
- Familiarity with real-time, embedded, or mission-critical software systems
- Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills
- U.S. citizenship and eligibility for a Top-Secret security clearance
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Active Secret or Top-Secret clearance
- Experience in missile defense, aerospace, or space systems environments
- Understanding of quality and safety standards used in complex software programs
- Experience with automated testing, DevSecOps, or CI/CD environments
- Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills
SALARY RANGE
$85,000 - $165,000+ annually.
Actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and years of experience.
