Spur Staffing is looking for hard-working and punctual Substitute Aides to work in Huntsville City Schools for the SY 2025/2026. As a substitute, you will pick up shifts when you are available to work. This position will be for substitute work in Special Education, PE, Clerical or General Aide. Pay is based on the position you accept.

The ideal candidate will be able to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment, adhering to the rules and guidelines set by the school and Spur. The primary responsibilities of this position are to support your assigned teacher or staff member to enhance the learning environment for students. Candidates are expected to always represent the school and program in a positive and professional manner. Candidates must wear business casual clothing, no rips or tears in clothing . Duties expected of this position are:

• Assisting in preparation of instructional materials and physical environment
• Assisting in planning and preparation for group and individual activities
• Supervising students as assigned, during instructional and non-instructional activities
• Providing individual and group instructional support to reinforce skills
• Providing enrichment and remedial assistance as required
• Assisting with testing and evaluation to determine student progress
• Participating in activities that will develop positive interaction in the instructional process
• Performing other related tasks as assigned

Qualifications

• Clear State of Alabama Background Check
• Required online training
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Must have reliable transportation

Compensation

• Pay: $15.00 p/hr
• Job Type: Temporary/Part-Time
• Job Hours: 7:30 am - 3:30 pm (Vary Between Elementary/Middle/High School)
