Resident Services Coordinator (CNA Required)

Greenway Health and Rehab is seeking a compassionate, energetic, and service-focused Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team as a Resident Services Coordinator. This unique role is perfect for a CNA who enjoys building relationships with residents and creating an exceptional living experience in a skilled nursing and rehabilitation setting.

As the Resident Services Coordinator, you will work closely with residents, families, nursing, social services, admissions, and other departments to ensure every resident feels welcomed, supported, and at home. This position focuses on resident satisfaction, customer service, communication, and enhancing the overall resident experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform room checks to ensure admissions rooms are clean, welcoming, and move-in ready.
• Coordinate with Social Services and other departments to prepare for resident discharges.
• Review daily menus with residents and communicate food preferences or alternate meal requests.
• Make frequent rounds throughout the facility to ensure resident comfort and satisfaction.
• Respond to resident call lights when appropriate and assist within CNA scope of practice.
• Coordinate admission packet completion with residents and families.
• Notify residents of upcoming activities, entertainment, and special events.
• Assist with resident concerns and help resolve issues promptly.
• Support admissions, nursing, activities, and other departments as needed to enhance the resident experience.
• Promote a positive, welcoming, and resident-centered culture throughout the facility.

Qualifications

• Current Alabama Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required.
• Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility, rehabilitation center, long-term care, assisted living, or healthcare setting preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to move throughout the facility during the workday.
• Must be able to bend, stoop, stretch, reach, lift, and use proper body mechanics.
• Must be able to observe, listen, and communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff.
• Must be able to function independently while maintaining professionalism and flexibility.
• Must be able to work compassionately with elderly, disabled, and medically complex residents.
